According to the National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) in their latest Existing Home Sales Report, on average, across the US, 13,808 houses sell EVERY day!
13,808! Today, tomorrow….the next day….
NAR reported that sales are at an annual rate of 5.04 million. Divide that number by 365 (days in a year) and we can see that, on average, over 13,800 homes sell every day.
The report from NAR also revealed that there is currently only a 4.4 months supply of inventory available for sale, (6 months inventory is considered ‘historically normal’).
What about Home Sales in San Diego?
The most recent numbers that we could find for San Diego (sourced from our local Realtor Association, The San Diego Association of Realtors) indicate that about 100 homes sell every day in our beautiful city.

What’s more inventory is LOW in San Diego but may improve as we approach the spring “home buying season” as more sellers put their homes on the market in anticipation of the traditional flood of buyers.
